Elemental Stool
These three-legged stools are fashioned in the style of Wharton Esherick, who has been called βthe father of studio furniture.β He demonstrated that furniture could be a form of sculpture. With a wavy and irregular seat, these stools are surprisingly comfortable. The three-legged design ensures the stool balances on uneven ground as well as flat surfaces. The rounded rungs not only provide structural support, but offer three different heights for a comfortable footrest. Rex Hansen makes these in a variety of woods, using a variety of stains.
