These three-legged stools are fashioned in the style of Wharton Esherick. He has been called “the Father of studio furniture” as well as the “dean of American craftsmen,” and Esherick demonstrated that furniture could be a form of sculpture. With a wavy and irregular seat, these stools are surprisingly comfortable. The three-legged design ensures the stool balances on uneven ground as well as flat surfaces.
